The York Model Railway show takes place from the 15th to the 17th April 2017 at the historic Knavesmire racecourse. The show has been running for 55 years since 1962.
The mix of exhibitors varies from year to year but it is estimated based on previous shows there should be a total of between 110 and 130 stands including around 40 working layouts. Set in the Knavesmire Stand the show offers exhibitors and visitors access to all the facilities of the Knavesmire Stand including a full refreshment service and licensed bar.

The York Model Railway Show We invites less than fully mobile visitors on all three days. The venue is modern and is wheelchair friendly and there are lifts to all floors . The racecourse venue is an excellent size and allows for layouts both large and small with adequate gangway space using the ground, first and second floors of the Knavesmire Suite plus the two mezzanine floors
Knavesmire Racecourse has excellent transport links both by road from all over the North and beyond. Once you approach York you should be able to follows signposts for the show which try to avoid city centre traffic. For those arriving by rail an exhibition bus link usually operates from York Railway Station. Parking for over 800 cars is also usually available free of charge.
