Beningbrough Hall is a Georgian property  and also a National Trust property with fabulous grounds to match this fabulous baroque mansion. Last year saw the hall mark its 300th Birthday and this was marked with visitors supporters and staff planting over 300,000 bulbs which will be able to be seen in the new ha-ha walk. As spring breaks through there will be a stunning display of snowdrops crocuses and daffodils.  As well as the formal gardens the parkland has a number of excellent walks.

Sledmere House is also a Georgian mansion and is a great place to visit, be it that you want to experience the architecture and drama of the house or spend some time exploring the grounds. Sledmere house is offering free entry to the grounds gardens and stables in February 2017. The grounds for this property feature a deer park, a historical stable block where you can meet the horses and walled garden. The more formal part of the grounds is situated on the west side of Sledmere House in the form of a parterre and there is also a potager with more than 5000 vegetables and flowers that are grown using the concept of companion planting.
