Tour De Yorkshire 2017

The Tour De Yorkshire 2017 is  the third year of this popular Yorkshire event and takes place from the 28th – 30th April 2017. Stage one Bridlington to Scarborough takes place on Friday the 28th April , Stage two and the Womans race Tadcaster to Harrogate takes place on Saturday the 29th April and Stage three Bradford to Fox Valley Sheffield  takes place on Sunday the 30th April. Sunday is the day  also for the Sportive race which is the chance for cyclist to cycle  the route ahead of the professionals with a choice of 45KM, 75KM & 100KM routes.

The Tour De Yorkshire is not the only time to experience cycling in North Yorkshire. There are a number of exciting routes across the county taking in the breathtaking routes and with growing demand there is  a brand new Urban Bike Park  due to open in Leeds at the end of this  year. The bike park will be located in Middleton Park and this exciting £1.2m scheme is being funded by British Cycling, Sport England and Leeds City Council.

North Yorkshire is a great location for a Cycling holiday at any time of the year and there are cycling routes right across the North York Moors and Howardian Hills. There are many miles of  bridleways, forest tracks, country roads and disused railway lines for cyclists to explore. On the North Yorkshire Moors  there are two dedicated cycling centres at Sutton Bank and at Dalby Forest.
